Twitter Rolls Out UI Changes To Simplify Your Social Connections

Twitter has just quietly rolled out a set of changes to its user interface on the “Following” and “Followers” sections of its website. These changes will clearly make it easier to manage who you follow as well as take actions, such as @replying someone or direct messaging them, directly from the page.

FriendFeed now 6x more awesomer with themes

FriendFeed now lets you individualize your account with six new designer themes. When you select a theme, your FriendFeed account will always include your theme, and other people looking at your profile page will see it in whatever theme they have chosen.

P/S: Sila klik pada gambar untuk lihat pada linknya yang saiz besar, saiz width 500px ni hape pun korang tak nampak tulisan.

Either korang upgrade pada IE7 atau 8, atau guna Firefox, Opera, Flock, Google Chrome atau Safari. Tapi yang pentingnya, slash IE6 kalau nak guna, banyak website akan problem nanti, bak kata Firefox, IE6 is soo….. 2006 y’all. :P

Bantu Firefox Promote New Browser Mereka 3.5 Version #fx3.5

Menurut blogpost disini, Firefox amat memerlukan kerjasama semua user mereka untuk bantu mempromotekan Firefox kepada public lagi. Very interesting, aku copy down and paste pernyataan nya yaa..

Hope you enjoyed our Social Media presentation a few months weeks back. We’ve posted the video and slides for your viewing pleasure.

As most of you know Social Media (Facebook, Reddit, Digg, Orkut, etc) played a huge role in helping us set a Guinness World Record last year — it took word of mouth to a whole new level for us! For Firefox 3.5, we’re hoping to leverage Social Media once again to gain incredible reach and create awareness in even more regions!

Here are just a few ways to help:

Help us identify the most popular social networks (Orkut, Hi5, Facebook, etc.) in your region, as well as any Mozilla or Firefox-related groups they might have. Post them here.

Get the word out about Firefox when it launches:

  • Donate your status on Twitter, Facebook or Identi.ca (use #fx3.5)
  • Change your profile picture (i.e. the Firefox logo)
  • Help drive up Firefox-related stories on Digg or Reddit
  • Blog, blog, blog!
  • Don one of our new Affiliate buttons on your site or blog (coming soon…)
  • Create some buzz during the run up to Firefox 3.5 by promoting:
  • Our Fastest Firefox video campaign (our first video will be released on June 1)
  • Firefox 3.5 in 35 days which highlights the cool developer features in Firefox 3.5
  • The availability of Firefox 3.5 release candidates
  • Help energize our Facebook and Orkut pages (Tara Shahian has a great write up on our Facebook success)
  • Post pictures & comments
  • Share videos!

Mozilla Memberi Cara Mudah Untuk Build Firefox Add-on

untitled-139Basically, kalau korang nak build sesebuah Firefox extension, pengetahuan dalam Javascript, XUL, dan XML adalah diperlukan. Tapi dengan menggunakan experimental program daripada Mozilla, Jetpack. Kini untuk menghasilkan Firefox add-on adalah semudah anda mempunyai pengetahuan dalam HTML language sahaja.

Namun begitu, Mozilla Jetpack masih dalam version 0.1, meaning it is still buggy. Tapi even masih lagi baru dalam current version nya sekarang, tapi korang dah boleh develop melalui API nya untuk build statusbars, tabs, dan banyak lagi. It even boleh support external APIs seperti Twitter, yang mana korang boleh build simple Twitter apps untuk Firefox.

Prism Untuk Firefox Dah Pun Release 1.0

Firefox LogoMozilla dah pun released version 1.0 untuk Prism Firefox extension. Ia adalah sebuah Firefox extension yang membolehkan untuk mengubah web applications kepada desktop applications. Menurut CNET, update yang terbaru telah menambah auto-update support, clearing private data, API baru untuk developers, dan tray icons with notifications.

Untuk mula menggunakan Prism, korang perlu pergi ke Tools menu dalam Firefox dan select “convert to web application” for the website you’re on, i.e. YouTube atau Gmail. Korang boleh create desktop shortcuts dan tray icons untuk pergi kepada apps. Prism juga comes as a stand-alone application, yang membolehkan korang create web apps from the desktop. IE6 SucksDukacita dimaklumkan kepada IE6 users, blog aku ShamHardy.com ini tidak dapat support version browser tersebut, kerana terdapat bug ketika korang enter this blog nanti. Very deeply sorry, dan aku memang tidak akan lakukan apa-apa untuk perbetulkannya, kerana tak ada masa untuk amik port pada primitif and unsafe version browser internet explorer 6 tersebut.

Kwiclick Membantu Anda Untuk Surf Lebih Efisyen

Dinamakan as KwiClick, dan korang boleh lihat sendiri how it function dalam video diatas, and for me.. as a blogger, it might save you time to search resources for blog articles.

Antara review tentang KwiClick aku jumpa dalam ReadWriteWeb menyatakan:

it allows you to quickly perform searches by highlighting and right-clicking on any word in Firefox, and the results are displayed in a dedicated pop-up window, so that you don’t have to actually browse to Google or Yahoo to see your search results. But at the same time, it also integrates with YouTube and other video services, so that you can play videos in the KwiClick pop-up window while you continue to browse the web.

Ubah Theme Lebih Persona Dalam Firefox

Personas LogoPersonas adalah sebuah plugin yang dihasilkan dibawah Mozilla Labs, dimana ia boleh menukar bentuk theme anda easily tanpa perlu download satu-persatu, dengan satu menu kecil yang mudah dalam browser. Aku dah pun try this thing, i’m very impress and i’il show you how it works.

Selepas sahaja anda install Personas dalam Firefox anda, anda akan nampak tiny icon dibawah kiri browser anda berbentuk logo Personas sendiri. Just klik, dan menu akan terpapar untuk anda pilih sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan dalam screenshot dibawah.

Sedang mouse anda point pada menu itu sahaja, theme tersebut akan load automatically kedalam browser anda, jadi anda tak perlu nak lihat satu-satu dalam gallery untuk pilih, just let the plugin work for you. Tapi jikalau anda masih insist nak preview dulu sebelum guna, anda boleh head down ke Gallery Personas sendiri. Good luck! ;) Personas

Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 Telah Keluar

Firefox browser telah mengeluarkan browser terbaru kepada pengguna iaitu beta release mereka yang ke 3 atau yang ke 5 bagi Firefox Developers, release notes berkenaan apa yang baru didalam browser ini adalah:

  • This beta is now available in 64 languages – get your local version.
  • Improved the new Private Browsing Mode.
  • Improvements to web worker thread support.
  • Improved performance and stability with the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
  • New native JSON support.
  • Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
  • Support for new web technologies such as the and elements, the W3C Geolocation API, JavaScript query selectors, CSS 2.1 and 3 properties, SVG transforms and offline applications.
