Y13June: Not So Buggy Day For Social Media Eh?

Dalam blogpost aku yang lepas ada aku buat satu post yang beritau akan happen a’la Y2K event pada hari semalam, sabtu 13 June 2009. Well as i expected, ianya berakhir macam story Y2K jugak. Nothing bad really happens..

Ada yang kata Facebook server akan overload la, Twitpocalypse expect yang Twitter akan problem handling server API mereka untuk 3rd party application bila exceed 2,147,483,647 tweets nanti. Dan aku curious nak tau whose the bad boys behind all this pretty set up news? Good job anyway chaps!

Facebook username land grab: Yawn [CNET News]

The servers didn’t crash, the system didn’t go haywire, and no locusts started spewing out of anyone’s monitors when Facebook let its 200-million-plus members reserve customized URLs on Saturday at 12:01 AM Eastern. 200,000 user names were reserved in a matter of three minutes, according to Twitter posts from Facebook employees.

Twitpocalypse? Yeah, Like Y2K [NYTimes.com]

For now, all remains quiet on the Twitter front, an early indication that Twitpocalypse — like the Y2K bug before it — will probably remain a disaster in name alone.

Anyone agree kalau aku letak trending topic ni sebagai #Y13June ? Meaning adalah hoax bug days for social media. LOL!
